    Another option is separating messages entirelty into a new window, every time. I like this because it’s clearly a separate social feature with an entirely different dynamic, but it allows the user to de facto multi-tab as well.

    Also, this is something only an app can do, unless you force a browser out of full view (in MacOS) and then force a new browser window separate from it, which is something no one expects from a browser and it wouldn’t really work. So that makes it interesting to me as a distinguisher
